Analysis & reasoning by tipster Archie Fletcher:

The World Darts Championship is just around the corner, and we need to lock in the best tournament specials before it all kicks off on Sunday, December 15th. I already have a bet on Luke Littler to reach the final, and he’s actually also the favorite to hit the most 180s in the tournament.
But if I Believe Luke Littler Will Reach the Final, Why Bet on Humphries for Most 180s?
The answer is simple: these two players are clearly the strongest and biggest favorites heading into the World Championship. Unfortunately, they’re in the same bracket, meaning we can’t have a repeat of last year’s final. However, if anyone is capable of stopping Luke Littler on his way to the final, it’s his countryman with the same first name, Luke Humphries.
The Length of the Matches Matters
I expect that the player who makes it all the way to the final will also be the one with the most 180s in the tournament. Of course, there’s always the risk that both could be knocked out early. But if things go as expected and they meet in the semifinal, the player who loses that match will have played a total of five matches, while the winner will play six. The length of the matches increases progressively throughout the tournament, with the final being a best-of-13 format, meaning the winner needs to win seven sets.
Last year, when the two met in the final, Luke Littler hit 13 180s, while Luke Humphries smashed in a staggering 23. That’s why I believe that whichever of the two makes it to the final will also claim the title of the tournament’s top 180 scorer. It’s also a bit of a hedge, as I have 5 units bet on Littler reaching the final. If the two meet in the semifinal and Humphries comes out on top, the odds of this bet paying off will increase significantly.
